Happy 2021

Here is to a new year and all the potential good that awaits us. May you be blessed with love and good health.
Garden Source Spiritual Center will not be meeting on Sunday, January 3rd. We are still anxiously awaiting the opportunity to meet together safely. Fingers crossed for sooner rather than later.
In the meantime, please check out the documentary "The Social Dilemma" on Netflix. I found it both fascinating and horrifying, but most things worth watching are.
Stay warm!
Much love,

No Fellowship in December

Hoping you all are staying warm and well and got to eat some yummy food over Thanksgiving with a loved one.

Of course, for everyone's wellbeing, we are continuing to avoid in-person Fellowship and gatherings.   We wish you all an amazing holiday season.

Yahoo Groups is shutting down, so for the immediate future, please refer to our website gardensourcesc.org or our blog gardensourcesc.blogspot.com for information and updates.

Thank you,
Barbara

Changes ahead...

Well, while many of us are trying to stay hunkered down, the world keeps moving on. As expected, we are not having in-person fellowship in November, and we encourage internet communications for everyone.  That being said, Yahoo Groups will be shutting down permanently on December 15, 2020. Going forward, we will have to utilize other communications tools.  I encourage use of our contact page at gardensourcesc.org or emailing us directly at gardensourcesc@gmail.com. I will continue to use our blog here indefinitely, and Yahoo Groups until mid-December.
Again, no Fellowship on November 1st.
We wish you all a Happy Halloween and Merry Samhain as the harvest time comes to an end.
Remember to Vote before 6 PM on Tuesday and be safe out there!
Much love and many germ-free virtual hugs to each of you as the seasons darken and grow colder.

No meeting October 4th

Dear friends,

Another month goes by without being in one another's presence. It is still not wise for us to gather inside at this time. I hope you all have stayed well and kept your minds occupied with the good we can find in the world around us. The leaves are falling in my yard and the time to prepare livestock for winter is at hand. My Morning Glories are still peeking out, but fewer now. I am always excited at the coming of Halloween, but this year could redefine how we celebrate the holiday for the next generation of children. What can you do?  Holding on to my positive and hoping for the best.

Much love to you all,
Barbara

Merry Mabon 🍁

https://youtu.be/On1bl_fP6cM

I just wanted to share this video with our friends who are interested in paganism.
While it doesn't apply to all geographic areas, it has lots of basic information to build on, especially for folks who are still learning about paganism and the wheel of the year.
I hope you all are well and enjoying this time with someone you love.
Autumn blessings,
Barbara

Happy Labor Day!

Greetings friends,

School has started back and I am in third grade again.  The work is much better organized than the end of last school year.  I could continue this indefinitely if they keep up the quality of communication.  Just so tired from getting up so early after a summer of sleeping in.

Praying you all are well.  Missing having extended community, but enjoying home much more than I used to.  Flowers have been split and spread out, mints and thyme transplanted, even a tomato plant has survived.  All with the help of friends because of my lack of mobility, but it is awesome to watch things grow and change.

What has made me most happy is the abundance and good health of my Morning Glories!  (Seeds for Moonflower have been obtained - fingers crossed for Spring.)  I want to get an earlier start next year and try a variety of food and flower seeds to see what will grow for me.  The seeds are just waiting for the time to come.  It will be kept small and in my flower garden, but any food that doesn't require going out to the store will be a blessed treat.

Let me know what is going on in your yard as we head into the middle of harvest season.  Send pics and stories directly to me at barbara.uu@gmail.com to be shared on our blog.

Blessed Be,

Barbara, your humble Community Coordinator

Checking in!

Hope you all are having a great July. Staying busy at home and healthy has been my goal and thoroughly enjoying the yard.

There will not be an in-person Garden Source fellowship in August (it would have been this coming Sunday). I, personally, wanted to share a food-for-thought video.  We do not push or endorse any political stances within our Garden; however, I feel, talking about bias is a human existence conversation.

So, for  your consideration, "Let's talk about bias."

Blessed be,
~Barbara

No July Fellowship today

July snuck up and I missed reminding folks that we are still not meeting in person. I do hope that was understood as a foregone conclusion.

May the sun not beat down on you too harshly as we navigate our world and stay as healthy as possible.  July 4th was a good time at home... so many fireworks, gonna have to finish them tonight [and hopefully not further annoy the neighbors].

Wear your masks! Stay healthy at home as much as possible! Our world has changed, it is not easy for anyone, but we have to take care of one another, even if that means staying apart.

Mahalo,
~Rev. B.

U.S. prepares for coronavirus pandemic, school and business closures: health officials

'In coming weeks, if the virus begins to spread through U.S. communities, health authorities want to be ready to adopt school and business closures like those undertaken in Asian countries to contain the disease, Messonnier said.'

'“We’re not seeing community spread here in the United States yet, but it’s very possible, even likely, that it may eventually happen,” Messonnier said.'

Re: First fellowship of 2020

February has given no breaks to our little fellowship.  Illness, surgeries, weather, family emergencies... you name it, we found it.  But we persevere!  Nonetheless, aiming for February 16, 2020, to get rolling back down the right track.  Until then, be well, stay warm, and hug your loved ones.
