I feel autumn

The stormy skies have been quite beautiful. I have enjoyed hours on the porch now that the heat is milder. I don't mind the humidity. Watching the leaves start to fall tempts me to warm cocoa and thick books.

Being apart is the hardest

My family has been quarantined this past week due to covid exposure. One of my kids tested positive, but had mild symtoms and has bounced back. The rest of us have be lucky. Well, lucky and fully vaccinated. That has to be the only reason I didn't fall ill. Thank you scientists and all the angels that have my six.
This is yet another reminder that in person gatherings are still very risky. We didn't even have to be in public to get exposed!
I do hope you all are well, happy, and living life as fully as you can.

Loving this day

My little guard dog is keeping me company on the front porch while I contemplate mowing. I hope your day is pleasant and smooth. Blessed be, B.

Happy July

Life has been hard for many lately, and the emotional backlash of watching the news doesn't help anyone. If you are in America, may you have a blessed Independence Day tomorrow.  It will be birthday celebrations for friends and family in my circles.
The Garden has still not made arrangements for in-person meetings, but we remain hopeful.
If you need to reach out, we can be reached at gardensourcesc@gmail.com
Blessed be.

Summer break!

Most everyone is on Summer break as I post this. The weather in Kentucky has been beautiful, even with some rain and thunderstorms sprinkled in.
I have been tired and overwhelmed with keeping appointments for my health and wellbeing, but the sunshine has brought with it joy and relief, if only in my mind.
May this find you well and happy until we can meet again. Contact us at gardensourcesc@gmail.com if you have any questions or need to reach out.
Blessed be,
Barbara.

Rare Black Moon Partial Eclipse Just In Time For Beltaine

I have been warned by friends who are into astrology that things are going to get weird. Can life possibly get more weird than it has already been? Hold on to your hat, it can always be worse.

Here is a link to Space.com article about this event:  https://www.space.com/partial-solar-eclipse-april-2022-wows-skywatchers

We at the Garden hope this finds you well and happy. Warm weather is coming around and the great outdoors are calling. Be safe and reach out if you need us.

Don't get fooled again

The Who warned us that they wouldn't be fooled again, but is it so bad to have a gentle laugh at ourselves?  After so long, many of us still in isolation, it is time to laugh together, even if our "together" is thru the miracle of the World Wide Web.

This world we are slowly and cautiously waking up to, is not the same one we left behind two years ago. It is now obvious why the 1920s were "roaring". People finally coming out of the dark cloud of the Spanish Flu were ready to party in the streets, the stock market looked good up until the end of the decade, so there was money to burn through. Unforunately, alcohol prohobition kinda rained on that parade, as the saying goes. But what great stories and music came out of that era!  Struggles build resilience and beauty rises to the surface.

I am not here to fool anyone, but to hopefully make you smile and realize that our time apart won't be forever and there will be a party, maybe a decade long party, to look forward to when we can be together again.

In the meantime, enjoy the Spring! And if you need us, please reach out through our website gardensourcesc.org.

Much love.

Marching to Spring!

I write this during a thunderstorm while I can still see the buds of new life on the maple tree outside my window. We are just shy of the two year anniversary of going into lockdown to try to protect one another. By and large, our efforts have been more successful than not.  I, personally, am still mostly locked down. I sure I am not alone in my fears of being too casual in my contacts too soon. Our collective experiences are worthy of an ounce of fear.  I pray that before another year passes, we can be in each other's arms again for some of the best hugs ever.
Until then, may this message find you well. If you need us, please reach out thru our website gardensourcesc.org or email gardensourcesc@gmail.com
Blessings for the Spring! And much love to you all.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

And Mother Nature is having some harsh mood swings.  Hoping that, no matter where you are in the world, you are warm, safe, and surrounded by love.
With the seemingly never-ending and ever-changing threat that Covid-19 has placed on everyone, especially the medically challenged, Garden Source Spiritual Center is choosing to continue avoiding in-person fellowships and gatherings.  We miss smiling faces and hugs, but have to put health first.

Happy 2022

Wishing you and yours all the best in these challenging times.
Here comes the cold weather, at least in Kentucky. I, personally, will be glad to see the tornadoes go away.
We may not be meeting in person, but know that Garden Source is still available to you. Do not hesitate to reach out via our website or in the comments section here.
Blessings.
