Science is catching up

I was aware of this a long time ago...

  1. I have to say even as a kid I didn't understand why people would use antibacterial soap and gel. Under the premise that it did work it would kill all bacteria, including the good. That could end up causing you to get sick. This article actually helps me feel better about that. I still won't buy the gel stuff but if I have to use antibacterial soap I won't feel like I'm tempting the Fates to give me a cold.

    1. I do still keep the hand gel for convenience, but prefer the kind that just has alcohol rather than the trisolcan (sp?) or other antibacterial substance. At least in my mind, alcohol is safer. I never use the antibacterial bath soap. What were they thinking? Having suffered several yeast infections in my life, I cannot risk killing the good bacteria. Too much ouchie.
