The Sixth Extinction

"Earth's sixth mass extinction event is underway," the headlines of dozens of major newspapers warned last summer.
The number of wild animals in the world has been cut in half in the last 50 years, and nearly half of all mammals have lost more than 80 percent of their range/population in the last 100 years, said a study published last July in the peer-reviewed journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Council and Fellowship this Sunday

Happy New Year

We at Garden Source Spiritual Center do hope your year has started off right and that this message finds you safe, warm, and surrounded by love.

We will not be having a Council meeting or fellowship in January 2018. There is much concern over transportation and extreme low temperatures.

We will resume our Council and fellowship on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 1084 Whipple Court, Lexington, Kentucky. Council meeting will begin at 2:30 PM. All are welcome.

Taking suggestions for and volunteer presenters of 2018 fellowship topics. Please let me know your thoughts.

Carol Wining 2017

All are invited to come out to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Madison County to celebrate the holiday season with a musical presentation, carols, wine (and juice), snacks from the Kitchen Witches, and oogles of fun.
