I feel autumn

The stormy skies have been quite beautiful. I have enjoyed hours on the porch now that the heat is milder. I don't mind the humidity. Watching the leaves start to fall tempts me to warm cocoa and thick books.

Being apart is the hardest

My family has been quarantined this past week due to covid exposure. One of my kids tested positive, but had mild symtoms and has bounced back. The rest of us have be lucky. Well, lucky and fully vaccinated. That has to be the only reason I didn't fall ill. Thank you scientists and all the angels that have my six.
This is yet another reminder that in person gatherings are still very risky. We didn't even have to be in public to get exposed!
I do hope you all are well, happy, and living life as fully as you can.

Loving this day

My little guard dog is keeping me company on the front porch while I contemplate mowing. I hope your day is pleasant and smooth. Blessed be, B.

Happy July

Life has been hard for many lately, and the emotional backlash of watching the news doesn't help anyone. If you are in America, may you have a blessed Independence Day tomorrow.  It will be birthday celebrations for friends and family in my circles.
The Garden has still not made arrangements for in-person meetings, but we remain hopeful.
If you need to reach out, we can be reached at gardensourcesc@gmail.com
Blessed be.

Summer break!

Most everyone is on Summer break as I post this. The weather in Kentucky has been beautiful, even with some rain and thunderstorms sprinkled in.
I have been tired and overwhelmed with keeping appointments for my health and wellbeing, but the sunshine has brought with it joy and relief, if only in my mind.
May this find you well and happy until we can meet again. Contact us at gardensourcesc@gmail.com if you have any questions or need to reach out.
Blessed be,
Barbara.

Rare Black Moon Partial Eclipse Just In Time For Beltaine

I have been warned by friends who are into astrology that things are going to get weird. Can life possibly get more weird than it has already been? Hold on to your hat, it can always be worse.

Here is a link to Space.com article about this event:  https://www.space.com/partial-solar-eclipse-april-2022-wows-skywatchers

We at the Garden hope this finds you well and happy. Warm weather is coming around and the great outdoors are calling. Be safe and reach out if you need us.

Don't get fooled again

The Who warned us that they wouldn't be fooled again, but is it so bad to have a gentle laugh at ourselves?  After so long, many of us still in isolation, it is time to laugh together, even if our "together" is thru the miracle of the World Wide Web.

This world we are slowly and cautiously waking up to, is not the same one we left behind two years ago. It is now obvious why the 1920s were "roaring". People finally coming out of the dark cloud of the Spanish Flu were ready to party in the streets, the stock market looked good up until the end of the decade, so there was money to burn through. Unforunately, alcohol prohobition kinda rained on that parade, as the saying goes. But what great stories and music came out of that era!  Struggles build resilience and beauty rises to the surface.

I am not here to fool anyone, but to hopefully make you smile and realize that our time apart won't be forever and there will be a party, maybe a decade long party, to look forward to when we can be together again.

In the meantime, enjoy the Spring! And if you need us, please reach out through our website gardensourcesc.org.

Much love.

Marching to Spring!

I write this during a thunderstorm while I can still see the buds of new life on the maple tree outside my window. We are just shy of the two year anniversary of going into lockdown to try to protect one another. By and large, our efforts have been more successful than not.  I, personally, am still mostly locked down. I sure I am not alone in my fears of being too casual in my contacts too soon. Our collective experiences are worthy of an ounce of fear.  I pray that before another year passes, we can be in each other's arms again for some of the best hugs ever.
Until then, may this message find you well. If you need us, please reach out thru our website gardensourcesc.org or email gardensourcesc@gmail.com
Blessings for the Spring! And much love to you all.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful...

And Mother Nature is having some harsh mood swings.  Hoping that, no matter where you are in the world, you are warm, safe, and surrounded by love.
With the seemingly never-ending and ever-changing threat that Covid-19 has placed on everyone, especially the medically challenged, Garden Source Spiritual Center is choosing to continue avoiding in-person fellowships and gatherings.  We miss smiling faces and hugs, but have to put health first.
If you need to reach out, please contact us via email at gardensourcesc@gmail.com.

Happy 2022

Wishing you and yours all the best in these challenging times.
Here comes the cold weather, at least in Kentucky. I, personally, will be glad to see the tornadoes go away.
We may not be meeting in person, but know that Garden Source is still available to you. Do not hesitate to reach out via our website or in the comments section here.
Blessings.

It is beginning to look a lot like...

We are going to have to bundle up extra warm this week. Happy December. Happy 6th day of Hannukah. Not so happy that we can't seem to catch a break from covid-19 variants. We miss you! All our hugs are so overdue.
Here's hoping to getting those hugs in 2022.
Meanwhile, take your vitamins, drink your water, hold your family close, enjoy the season of lights and miracles, and the return of the light at Yule. May you have a blessed Christmas and a safe New Year.
And if you or anyone you know needs help staying warm, please let us know at gardensourcesc@gmail.com. Our community outreach program Homeless Hookers still has plenty of homemade hats and scarves for anyone in need. Find out more about them at http://homelesshookers.wordpress.com.
Until next time, in the famous words of Casey Kasem, "Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

November came quickly

Seems just yesterday October just began, now here we are. The Spooky holidays were enjoyable, and I am sad they passed so abruptly.
We are still being cautious and not meeting in person this coming Sunday, but we can always be contacted via our website gardensourcesc.org.
May your November be peaceful and well, and may you have loved ones nearby for the coming holidays.
Bright Blessings,
Barbara

Yay, October!

It is the most wonderful time of the year! Final harvests are soon and the world around us is alive with orange, yellow, and brown dancing among the evergreens. It is my favorite month and is also LGBTQIA+ History month. Show all your true colors this month and live authentically, no matter where you are on the Rainbow. The Human race is beautiful in all our many differences.

Garden Source is still not meeting face-to-face and doing our best to keep one another safe and well. But that doesn't mean we can't be there for you. Feel free to reach out to us on our website gardensourcesc.org.

Autumn blessings!

September, already?

Dear friends, we are far from out of the woods in regards to the pandemic. So, we are continuing to exercise best practices and are so thankful for modern technology and the internet.  There will be no in-person meetings for the foreseeable future.
I could feel the turn in the weather this morning. Autumn is sneaking up quickly. Get your sweaters ready!  Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns, via our website, gardensourcesc.org.

August is almost here!

Greetings!  All of us at the Garden hope your summer has been fun, safe, and healthy thus far. Before you know it, the children will be taking classes again and this warm weather will be waning. We are still not meeting in person for the health and welfare of our members and friends, so no August 1st fellowship.
Good thoughts and healing energy that Covid will not keep us slowed down any longer than necessary.
If you need to reach out to us, please do so thru our website gardensourcesc.org or look for us on Facebook or Twitter.
Many blessings to you in these trying times.

And hot, and rainy....
Wishing you a not too hot and not too rainy holiday weekend.

Be safe and have fun. We hope to see smiling faces in person sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, if you need to reach out to us, our website is GardenSourceSC.org.
Have a wonderful July!

Bring May flowers.
Hope this note finds you well. We are still on Covid Hiatus, but still here and working toward our goals.

Happy Spring 2021!

Bees are dancing and having a great time amongst the first of Spring flowers (and weeds).  Hope you all are enjoying this lovely day.
